ABOUT LYNN

The story of Adams County, is my family's story. Adams County has a deep agricultural history and growing up I remember driving to my grandfather's vegetable farm, passing many large family farms from Brighton, unincorporated Adams County, Welby, and Thornton.  My family has been part of Adams County for over 100 years, where my grandparents, mom and dad all worked the soil, cultivated crops and put food on the table for their family and families in Adams County and the surrounding Denver metro region.

My journey of service began 20 years ago, when I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and it was during my treatments, I began to volunteer at my church and the 27J school district.  As I got stronger, I applied for and was appointed to the Brighton Parks advisory board - where I served on the inaugural agricultural land preservation committee and two terms as a Brighton City Council member.

Additionally, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a liaison to the Greater Brighton Fire Protection District, I am a former Chair of the Adams County Sub-Regional Transportation Committee, former Director of the Denver Regional Council of Governments, and a former Chair of the Smart Commute Metro North, and a former Chair of the North Area Transportation Alliance.

As your County Commissioner I represent your voice on local boards and committees ranging from areas of water protection and health, too transportation and Denver International Airport, to economic development and local jobs.

My passion is serving our community. Adams County has always been my home and I want to ensure that we are planting the seeds for a future that lifts up all Adams County residents.

We’ve accomplished a lot since you first elected me in 2020 and, with your support, I’m eager to get back to work for you.
